Feira de Livro de Londres vai ter arena de Inovação Infantil esse ano

Um dos maiores eventos para editoras, escritores e livreiros, a London Book Fair 2013 amplia a área e os eventos dedicados a leitura infanto-juvenil, com maior destaque para inovações digitais. É o reflexo da grande procura por palestras que falavam do tema na edição 2012 – lotação máxima em papos sobre escrevendo para a nova geração digital, autores nas redes sociais e leitura online. lbfWe are delighted to announce the re-launch of the Children’s Innovation Theatre, in association with Once Upon a Bookcase. Situated in the heart of the Children’s Zone, the events in the theatre will explore the most innovative and impressive developments that have helped the sector to flourish.

The Children’s Innovation Theatre will showcase new media and online community projects, publishers reinventing traditional tools to engage a new generation of readers, and those finding new ways of promoting literacy.

The 30 minute, free-to-attend sessions will showcase individual successes and achievements and to give tomorrow’s leaders in children’s publishing a voice.

Session highlights include:

– CARDOOO: Expanding the Scope of Books and Reading

– Hot Key Books: The Story Adventure: An Interactive Writing Experience

– BOOKi: The Digital Generation: The Future of Children’s Story Time

– Blogging: The New Community

– Orion: Early Readers: Developing the Concept and Launching the Brand

The Theatre will also host a special Illustrator’s Afternoon on Wednesday 17 April from 2-4pm. This event, in collaboration with Illustration Magazine and The Pittville Press at the University of Gloucestershire, will focus on illustration for children’s publishing and provide illustration students and practising illustrators the opportunity to meet art directors from Orion, Igloo Books and Little Tiger Press.
